Bookings are open from 12 April We are delighted to be welcoming visitors back to the farm in April. We've had deep snow, icy winds and hard frosts, but there are signs of spring; snowdrops are out, the birds are full of song and we've had some beautiful sunny days. There's optimism in the air!. .
Our Belted Galloways are a hardy, traditional breed that can stay out throughout the winter. They are so fat after the summer, having enjoyed the rich high pasture, which has an amazing bio-diversity of grasses, that they don't need feeding any supplements over the winter.. On hard, frosty days we like to give them some of the wrinkled apples we've stored from the orchard in the summer and some cow pellets. Everyone deserves a treat in this cold weather!
